We celebrated our 100th Anniversary in 2008. We originally opened our doors as the Flagler State Bank, founded in 1908. In 1920 we became The First National Bank of Flagler. Since then we have seen many changes. We opened our first branch under the name of High Plains National Bank located in Bennett in June of 1998 and purchased our Wiggins branch in August of 2001. In 2003, we changed our name to High Plains Bank. We felt this change would bring continuity and heighten customer awareness of our banks. We opened a limited services branch in Lakewood to help serve the needs of our Denver customers in January 2005. This branch was closed in July 2011.
